Guidelines

These guidelines outline the implementation of a strong and distinctive identity for Rocky Mountaineer. They have been developed to assure the proper and consistent use of the official logo. It is important that a coherent image is maintained by conforming to these basic guidelines and specifications.

Sub-Brand Logos – Vertical

Note: the vertical logo version is the preferred logo format, which should be         used whenever possible.

Colour
The logo may appear in colour, black or white (reversed out of a solid colour). Whenever possible, the logo should be used in its colour form. The logo should only appear on a solid background, never over complex imagery or graphics.

Area of Protection

A minimum area of protection must be maintained around the logos. No other graphic elements, such as text and images, can appear in this area. We require this area of protection in case the logos appear on materials using complex imagery such as other marks, graphic devices and text. The area of protection is consistent on all sides of each logo. The required space around each logo must be “x” on all sides, where “x” equals the height of the icon in the logo.

Size
Please take care to maintain the integrity of all elements and proportion when sizing the logos. The logos may be resized, but the proportions must be maintained and the type remain legible. For legibility in print, we recommend that the logo not be reproduced smaller in height than 0.5 inches. Lettering legibility must be maintained on the Web and needs to be a minimum of 60 pixels wide so as to ensure clarity.

Rules
When reproducing the logo, please:

  • do not make the logos an outline.
  • do not change the colour of the logos.
  • do not distort the logos in any way.
  • do not place the logos on a busy image.
  • do not rotate the logos.
  • do not separate any of the logos’ elements.
  • do not substitute any part of the logos.
  • do not violate the clear space of the logos.
  • do not use any other typeface to replace part of the logos.
  • do not skew the logos.
  • do not replace the approved wording.
  • do not apply the logos in an unapproved colour.
  • do not let text run into the logos.

Sub-Brand Logos – Horizontal

Note: the horizontal logo version can be used whenever space does not allow
for use of the vertical logo version.

Colour

The logo may appear in colour, black or white (reversed out of a solid colour). Whenever possible, the logo should be used in its colour form. The logo should only appear on a solid background, never over complex imagery or graphics.
