The Real Wild West

This historic town once known as "Defiance" is now home to healing hot springs and a world-class wellness destination.  A vibrant place to explore, today’s Glenwood Springs offers a dynamic dining and entertainment scene in true Wild West setting.

Things to do:

Relive History through the Local Hotels

History buffs can relive the stories of the past while visiting some of the town's most iconic hotels: the Hotel Colorado, Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge, and Hotel Denver. These hotels have welcomed many famous characters dating back to the early 1900's including American socialite “The Unsinkable” Molly Brown, dentist turned gambler and gunslinger, John Henry “Doc” Holliday, and American gangster, Al Capone to name a few.

Take a Stroll Over the Pedestrian Bridge

The pedestrian bridge connects downtown with North Glenwood Springs. The bridge is perfect for people-watching and a post-dinner evening walk over the Colorado River.
