COVID-19 Travel and Health Advisories

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, our Rocky Mountaineer team has been adjusting our response to the rapidly changing circumstances. The health and safety of our guests and team members is always our highest priority. Given the growing impact of the global pandemic and increasing travel restrictions, we find ourselves unable to start our season as scheduled.

In an abundance of caution, we have no choice but to delay the start of our 2020 travel season. All departures through April will be suspended.

This was an incredibly difficult action to take, but we believe it will best serve our guests, team members and partners. Guests on suspended departures will receive a credit valued at 110% of their original booking to be used for travel by the end of 2022 season.  Guests who are ready to rebook their travel can contact their travel professional or our sales centre.

For guests travelling on departures in 2020 that have not been suspended, and are looking to defer their travel plans, we have temporarily adjusted our terms so that guests who are more than 30 days out from travel can rebook to a later date without penalty. Guests can contact our sales centre to discuss the options available to them. For more information on the terms, please visit our terms and conditions page.

We will continue to evaluate the situation and potential impact on further departures based on travel mandates from global and Canadian governments.  We sincerely thank our guests and partners for their patience and understanding as we work through the delayed start to the season.
