Rocky Mountaineer announces new global sales leader

Rocky Mountaineer welcomes Violet Thumlert as the luxury train company’s new Vice President, Global Sales.

Based in Canada, Violet joined the team on August 29, 2022, bringing 20 years of sales experience to Rocky Mountaineer. Having most recently spent 12 years with Pursuit Collection in progressively senior sales roles, she drove high volume sales across Pursuit, having a vital role in the company’s growth.

“As a sales professional, passionate traveller and outdoor enthusiast, joining Rocky Mountaineer is a career milestone,” said Thumlert. “I have long admired Rocky Mountaineer’s ability to showcase North America’s most spectacular scenery through three iconic Canadian journeys – complemented now with a new route, Rockies to the Red Rocks, in the United States.
