Rocky Mountaineer finishes inaugural Rockies to the Red Rocks operating season

The luxury train company has wrapped up its preview season of its new route in the Southwest United States.

On November 19, Rocky Mountaineer’s preview season of the Rockies to the Red Rocks route concluded as the last train of the year arrived in Denver. Across the season, more than 7,100 rail guests experienced the route across 56 departures. The company looks forward to launching the first full six-month season of Rockies to the Red Rocks on April 17, 2022.

Rockies to the Red Rocks is a two-day train journey between Moab, Utah, and Denver, Colorado, with an overnight stay in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The preview season for the route started on August 15, 2021. The inaugural U.S. route is just one step in Rocky Mountaineer’s long-term vision of expanding its journeys to diverse destinations, a monumental addition to the three rail routes in Western Canada that run between Vancouver and the towns of Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper in the Canadian Rockies.
