Rocky Mountaineer honours the best wildlife photos from its rail journeys

Vancouver, BC. – (July 25, 2018) – As animals prepare for hibernation in September, Rocky Mountaineer is honouring the local Canadian wildlife that captures the hearts of its guests. The animals frequently spotted along the four rail routes that Rocky Mountaineer travels include: grizzly bears, black bears, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, elk and eagles.

Spotting animals from the glass-dome coaches on the luxury tourist train has become a favorite pastime for guests onboard Rocky Mountaineer as they scramble to capture photos of the fleeting animals. At times, the engineer will slow the train and alert the team by radio of animals alongside the railway.

To honour the wildlife animals, Rocky Mountaineer shares its favourite animal photos from past journeys that were captured before the hibernation season.
