Rocky Mountaineer wraps up 2021 Canadian season

VANCOUVER, B.C. – October 10, 2021

The luxury train company has wrapped up its 2021 operating season on its Canadian routes.

COVID-19 related travel restrictions required Rocky Mountaineer to suspend the entire 2020 season and the first part of the 2021 season. Train operations were able to restart in July 2021, with limited capacity and extensive health and safety protocols in place to meet the regulations in place at that time. This was the first departure operated in 21 months, since the 2019 season ended in October of that year. The company was pleased to welcome close to 10,000 travellers across the shortened three-month season from July to October. Rocky Mountaineer looks forward to welcoming guests aboard for the full 2022 operating season, which runs from April to October.

Rocky Mountaineer offers luxury train journeys that showcase some of the best scenery North America has to offer. Rocky Mountaineer offers four rail routes: three that connect Vancouver to the Canadian Rockies towns of Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper in Western Canada; and a fourth route that travels between Denver, Colorado and Moab, Utah in the Southwest United States. It is a must-do travel experience that offers unparalleled journeys in its spacious glass-domed train coaches thanks to incredible scenery, delicious cuisine, friendly service, and social atmosphere.
