Canyonlands National Park

Deep canyons, towering mesas, cliffs, and spires stretch across 527 square miles/1,364 square kilometers in Utah's largest national park. Canyonlands National Park is only a 30 mile (approx. 35 minute) drive from downtown Moab. For a more remote experience, visit the Needles District (and prepare for a longer drive).

Arches National Park

This top national park is home to 73,234 acres/29,636 hectares of eroded sandstone spires, hoodoos, balanced rocks, and arches formed over millions of years. Arches National Park is only a 5 mile (approx. 10 minute) drive from downtown Moab.

Moab Museum

As Moab prospered in the late 1950s, civic leaders decided to establish a museum where locals and visitors could learn about the landscape, earliest life forms, Indigenous peoples, pioneers, and prospectors.  Now, Moab Museum is a cultural and natural history museum dedicated to sharing the rich stories of the Moab area.
